ECIA publishes an annual research report on the global top 50 component distributors and on the top 50 distributors in the Americas. Having previously compiled four reports, this article summarises the 2024 Top 50 Americas component distributors report.

The global top 50 distributors recorded combined revenue of USD 124 billion in 2024, down 2.02% (USD 2.5 billion) from USD 126.5 billion in 2023. The Asia-Pacific region contributed 60% of revenue (53.9% in 2023), the Americas 23% (24.8% in 2023) and EMEA 17% (21.3% in 2023).

The 2024 Americas top 50 distributors recorded combined revenue of about USD 28.5 billion, down 10.18% (USD 2.9 billion) from USD 31.4 billion in 2023. By product category, semiconductors accounted for 46.4% of revenue (49.8% in 2023), connectors 18.2% (16.3%), passive components 10.5% (10.4%), electromechanical products 14.7% (12.7%), computers and peripherals 3% (3.5%) and power supplies and batteries 2.9%.
