Restructuring the semiconductor supply chain requires strengthening upstream production of key equipment and materials to reduce import dependence. Midstream manufacturing should improve process capability and advance to leading-edge nodes. Downstream application sectors should work more closely with chip companies to feed market demand back into the chain. Through coordinated development across upstream, midstream and downstream, China can build an autonomous, self-controlled and highly competitive semiconductor supply chain.
China's chip imports grow — how will the semiconductor supply chain be restructured?
